Privacy Policy

CCAIRE (the Canadian Centre for AI in Real Estate) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and safeguard it, and the choices available to you.

Canadian privacy framework

We handle personal information in accordance with the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where applicable, substantially similar provincial legislation, including Quebec's Law 25, Alberta's PIPA, and British Columbia's PIPA. Electronic messages are sent in accordance with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

Information we collect

  • Contact details you provide voluntarily, such as your name, email address, and organization or brokerage.
  • The subject of your inquiry and the content of messages you send us.
  • Your communication preferences, including whether you consented to receive updates.
  • Limited technical information, such as basic analytics about how our website is used.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and we do not ask you to send us confidential client information, transaction records, or documents.

How we use your information

  • To respond to your inquiry and follow up on a request you initiated.
  • To send educational updates, resources, and event information where you have consented.
  • To understand interest in CCAIRE programs so we can plan responsibly.
  • To meet legal, accounting, and record-keeping obligations.

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.

Consent and withdrawal

We collect personal information with your knowledge and consent. You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions, by contacting us or using the unsubscribe link in any email. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide certain updates or respond to an open request.

Use of artificial intelligence

Where CCAIRE uses AI-assisted tools for drafting or administrative support, a person reviews the output before it is relied upon or published. We do not use your personal information to train third-party AI models, and we do not make automated decisions about you.

Safeguards, retention, and storage

We apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold, and we limit internal access to those who need it. We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above or as required by law, then securely delete or de-identify it.

Some service providers may store or process information outside Canada. Where that occurs, the information may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction, and we take reasonable steps to ensure comparable protection.

Your rights

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask that it be corrected, or request its deletion. We will respond within the timelines required by applicable Canadian privacy law. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or your applicable provincial privacy regulator.
